When can we start accepting funds?

Funds cannot be accepted until kickoff on January 6th, 2025. The good news is that you can begin securing sponsorships and program book ads as soon as you sign on! This is a great way to start the campaign with funds already in your pocket. If someone reaches out and wants to donate to your team, reach back out to them on kickoff day. 

Do we have to list all 500 contacts on the contact tracker?

No, you do not, but we highly encourage every team to take advantage of this. LLS pays for it to be sent up to 500 of your contacts. This is where most of your donations will come from. 

What if we want to send letters to more than 500 people?

That is totally fine; you have the letter and are more than welcome to mail it yourself to the additional contacts you have. We can only pay up to 500 contacts for each team.

How can I track my donations?

You are able to pull a list of your donors and their donations at any point through your fundraising account. You will also receive an in-depth report every Friday with each individual donor, amount, and who it is credited to.

How do I send a mass email to all of my potential donors?

After you have composed your email, click on "BCC" and enter the emails in this field. This will allow you to email a large group of people at once while hiding their individual addresses. NOTE: Do not enter the email addresses until AFTER you have typed the email. You do not want to accidentally hit send before the message is done.

How do I register team members?

Provide your potential team members with your team's fundraising page URL. On the right side of the page, team members should select "Join Your Team." This will lead them to the registration page. NOTE: If a team member has previously participated, they should register/log in with the same credentials they used in the past. If they cannot remember or find this information, they should click "Forgot Password" or ask LLS staff to retrieve this information.

What is the difference between silent auction and CharityBuzz?

Provide your potential team members with your team's fundraising page URL. On the right side of the page, team members should select "Join Your Team." This will lead them to the registration page. NOTE: If a team member has previously participated, they should register/log in with the same credentials they used in the past. If they cannot remember or find this information, they should click "Forgot Password" or ask LLS staff to retrieve this information.

What are the different ways someone can donate?

There are many ways that people can donate to your team! These include checks, Venmo, Facebook, matching gifts, stock transfers, or through your online fundraising page. Check the website for the directions on all the ways they can donate. There are specific directions.

When will the letters arrive to those on our contact list?

​The letters will be sent out right as we kick-off so you will start to see those donations trickle in to your fundraising page that week. Make sure to follow up with everyone on your contact tracker and see if they received it. Sometimes people move or they miss it.

Who handles the payment method once a company wants to give a sponsorship?

LLS staff will handle all of the communication with the company on receiving their payment. We must have a commitment form filled out for every sponsor if the team wants to receive credit for those funds. 

Can all my team members attend Grand Finale?

Team members must raise $5,000 individually in order to receive a ticket to Grand Finale. They will receive an additional ticket if they raise over $10,000. It is not encouraged to use Hall of Fame tickets on team members who do not earn their own tickets.

Can you tell us how the other teams are doing so we can see how much more money we need to raise?

No, all team totals are confidential and cannot be shared with any other teams.

Who can I give my Hall of Fame tickets to?

These tickets should NOT be used for team members who have not earned their own tickets. You are welcome to invite additional family members, but you can also be strategic with these tickets -- is there a potential high-impact donor that you could invite?

How do I log in to my fundraising page?

You will receive an email containing the username and password for your personal fundraising page. You will also receive the login information for your team's fundraising page through your team Gmail. If you cannot find this email, check your spam folder, or go to fundraise.lls.org and click "forgot password." Your login email will be the same as the email you used to apply. You can also ask your LLS Staff Partner to resend your login link.
